1.- BACKGROUND
In accordance with Spanish regulations governing the use of cookies in relation to the provision of electronic communications services, as set out in Article 22.2 of Law 34/2002 of July 11, on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce, we inform you about the cookies used on the website of MANUEL SAMPER, S.L.U. and the purpose of their use.
2.- WHAT ARE COOKIES?
A cookie is a file that is downloaded to your computer when accessing certain web pages. Cookies allow a website, among other things, to store and retrieve information about a user´s browsing habits or their device and, depending on the information they contain and how the device is used, they can be used to recognize the user. 3.- TYPES OF COOKIES
3.1.- According to the entity that manages them
a.- First-party cookies: These are sent to the user´s device from a computer or domain managed by the website owner and from which the service requested by the user is provided.
b.- Third-party cookies: These are sent to the user´s device from a computer or domain that is not managed by the website owner, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies.
3.2.- According to their purpose
There are many purposes for using cookies. Depending on the purpose for which the data obtained through cookies is processed, some purposes may be:
a) Technical cookies: These are those that allow the user to navigate through a website, platform or application and use the different options or services available on it, including those used by the editor to manage and operate the website and enable its functions and services, such as controlling traffic and data communication, identifying the session, accessing restricted areas, remembering the items in an order, completing the purchase process, managing payment, controlling fraud related to service security, registering or participating in an event, counting visits for billing software licenses that the service uses (website, platform or application), using security features while browsing, storing content for video or audio broadcasting, enabling dynamic content (e.g. text or image loading animation) or sharing content via social networks.
Technical cookies are exempt from the obligations established in Article 22.2 of the LSSI when they are used to provide the service requested by the user, as is the case with the cookies mentioned above. However, if these cookies are also used for non-exempt purposes (e.g., behavioral advertising), they will be subject to those obligations.
b) Preference or personalization cookies: These are those that allow information to be remembered so that the user accesses the service with certain characteristics that may differentiate their experience from that of other users, such as language, number of search results, appearance or content of the service depending on the type of browser through which the user accesses the service or the region from which the service is accessed, etc.
If the user themselves chooses these features (for example, by selecting the language of a website by clicking on the flag icon of the corresponding country), cookies will be exempt from the obligations of Article 22.2 of the LSSI as they are considered a service expressly requested by the user, provided that the cookies are used exclusively for the selected purpose.
c) Analytics or measurement cookies: These are those that allow the party responsible for them to monitor and analyze the behavior of users of the websites to which they are linked, including the quantification of the impact of advertisements.
